Preparing For Your Extraordinary Destiny

I love this quote from C.S. Lewis-”Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny”. I realize many people experience hardships yet not many people step into an extraordinary destiny, so what makes the difference? I think it is captured in the word PREPARE. Notice that hardships don’t guarantee an extraordinary destiny, they don’t even launch an extraordinary destiny, nope they only PREPARE you for an extraordinary destiny.

So how do you handle hardships in your life? Do you despise their existence? Do you do everything you can to avoid or run through any hardship that comes your way? What if you could view hardships as the training ground for greatness in your life? What if the financial hardship you’re experiencing is actually teaching you and increased level of humility and stewardship that is going to allow you to hold a future blessing that you can’t even imagine right now? What if the loss of a loved one teaches you to cherish every moment and person you have in your life with a new level of gratitude? What if the hardship you are currently facing is making you a stronger, wiser, person who is equipped to help others facing a similar circumstance in the future?

Even as I type this, I am choosing to see the hardship of my mouse having a mind of it’s own and moving the cursor all over the page, as an opportunity to grow in patience and perseverance. Hardships show up in all shapes and sizes, it is our choice to let these hardships prepare us for an extraordinary destiny! What hardship are you facing right now? How could this be preparing you for an amazing future? Take some time to reflect on that and you will find renewed strength and dedication to overcome the hardship.

Blessings to you on your journey into your extraordinary destiny!

Much Love,
Kelli
